The Hurriyat chairman said an expansion of the seven-member executive can be considered, but the members will have to abide by the discipline of the amalgam.
The Hurriyat leaders were also prepared for talks with New Delhi before the visit.
"We completely support the ongoing peace process between India and Pakistan, which is extremely likely to produce a permanent and acceptable solution to the Kashmir problem," Professor Gani added.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has accused Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi of raising questions on sensitive defence matters in Parliament after his marriage to a British citizen. The All Parties Hurriyat Conference on Wednesday announced the resumption of protests by calling a general strike on Saturday.The APHC co-ordination committee decided to call the strike after holding a meeting in Srinagar today afternoon to decide its future course of action."The coordination committee has appealed to the people to hold peaceful protests after Friday prayers and observe a complete strike on Saturday," a spokesman of the committee said.
The APHC said the statement is in the larger interest of the people in the South Asian region.

Life in Kashmir Valley on Saturday returned to normal as authorities lifted the curfew and the hard-line Hurriyat Conference exempted the day from its schedule of protests and strikes.
